Are you ready for another first flight? Wasting no time after the successful first flight of the Bombardier CSeries, the Boeing 787-9 is scheduled to take to the skies for the first time tomorrow at 10am Pacific, 1pm Eastern. As always, that time and date may change due to weather or other factors, but we are excited! The 787-9 variant is longer than the 787-8, with a length of 206 feet as opposed to 186 feet. There are currently 388 orders for the 787-9, and the aircraft will enter into service with Air New Zealand. Etihad and ILFC have the largest 787-9 orders with a total of 41 each. American Airlines and ANA have each ordered ordered 30, and Untied has also ordered 24.
