All the cool companies are on Twitter, that is a fact. Occasionally, these companies decide to have a bit of a chat between each other on Twitter, and the conclusion of the first Airbus A350 was one of those moments.
As the celebration at Toulouse began, several competitors and airlines took to Twitter to congratulate Airbus on their big day. The first competitor to congratulate Airbus was their biggest rival, Boeing. At the time of publishing, that tweet received 247 retweets, as well as a response from Airbus saying “Thanks! A 1st flight is always a great day 4 our industry.”
We congratulate @Airbus on today’s first flight achievement.

Next to join in the Twitter fun was Bombardier, who is close to putting their new aircraft, the CSeries, in the air for the first time as well.
@bombardier_aero Thanks for the good wishes! First flights are exciting. I think you guys have next…

Qatar Airways, which will be receiving the first A350 in the second half of 2014, sent out a modified tweet from Airbus, adding “Congratulations!!!”

Also giving a shout out to Airbus was JetBlue, although they have no orders for the A350.
