Boeing on Monday delivered its 377th 737 of the year, making 2012 the most productive in the history of the popular aircraft line.
The old mark of 376 deliveries was set in 2010.
United Airines was the recipient of the milestone plane, a 737-900ER fitted with a Boeing Sky Interior (N39463).
With Boeing churning out a little over one 737 daily (35 per month) and 27 days remaining in the year following the record-setting delivery, it is possible Boeing will exceed the 400 mark by the close of 2012, though production rates are not directly tied to delivery rates.
Net year-to-date orders for 737 aircraft have reached 1,031, shattering the record of 846 set in 2007.
