Qatar Airways took ownership of its first Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner in early October (a day or two before announcing they were joining oneworld), but the formal delivery event was held off until this past week as Boeing and GE worked out an engine upgrade.

Qatar is the first Middle Eastern carrier to take delivery of Boeing’s newest aircraft and has a total of 30 on order.
