United Airlines introduced its first Boeing 787 Dreamliner to the world on Thursday.

This is the first of 50 Dreamliners that will fly wearing United airlines colors, with six expected by year’s end. It will be delivered to Houston next month where it will fly a domestic scheduled until March. Dave Hilfman, Senior Vice President Sales at United Airlines said the airline will use the domestic flights to show the plane off to the US market.

The 787 will start its first  international route in March with the launch of United’s new Denver-Tokyo flights.

Many pilots love the new aircraft according to United brass. The transition from the 777 to the 787 will be welcomed. The flight attendants will enjoy a top of the line galley, which contains steam ovens and a larger area to prepare food. The crew will also get to enjoy rest areas for those long flights.
