Beer giant Anheuser-Busch has filed trademark applications for 42 airport codes.
Beerpulse.com reports that the company spent $11,550 on application fees for the trademarks in April and May, though it’s not clear exactly what they might do with them.
One possibility involves a chain of bars licensed by Anheuser called Budweiser Brew House and the Budweiser Stadium Club, many of which are located in airports, including Atlanta, Las Vegas, Newark, Kansas City, St. Louis, Jacksonville and Miami. Perhaps a unique brew for each location? That said, Newark and Jacksonville do not appear on the list of codes filed, though the others are.
