A Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner for Air India has been painted in the airline's distinctive white and red livery

The first Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner to wear Air India colors has arrived at its new home, though only temporarily.

The jet landed in New Delhi on Monday after a 14-hour nonstop flight from Everett, Wash. After a couple of days visiting Air India staff, the General Electric GEnx-powered aircraft will go on static display at the India Aviation 2012 exhibition in Hyderabad.

This is more or less a completed plane, fitted with a full interior as ordered by Air India. The Indian government, however, is still debating whether or not the struggling airline should take delivery of any 787s as it continues to demand $1 billion in compensation from Boeing over delivery delays.

For those keeping score at home, this plane will be registered VT-ANH, but is currently wearing the registration N1015B.
