Fiji-based Air Pacific has ordered three new Airbus A330-200 jets, the airline and the manufacturer announced Tuesday.
The new widebody aircraft will replace the airline’s fleet of two Boeing 747s and one 767.
All three airliners will be delivered in 2013 and operated from Fiji on trans-Pacific routes to Los Angeles and throughout the Asia-Pacific region to Hong Kong, Australia, and New Zealand.
Air Pacific had announced an order for A330s previously, in 2003, but later canceled that order in favor of the new Boeing 787. The airline later canceled that order as well.
