Austrian Airlines to Launch Baghdad Flights in June

Following a 21-year hiatus, Austrian Airlines will restart service between Vienna and Baghdad on June 8th, the carrier announced this week.

Flights to the Iraqi capitol will be operated three times weekly by Airbus A320-family aircraft.

Austrian has been operating flights from Vienna to the Kurdish-controlled city of Erbil since 2004, and this summer plans to increase the number flights to the northern Iraqi city to six weekly.
