Tassili Airlines has taken delivery of its first Boeing aircraft, a new 737-800. The Algiers-based carrier has three more of the jets on order.
Tassili is a subsidiary of the Algerian-government-owned oil and gas company, Sonatrach. The airline’s primary mission is to transport employees to and from its oilfields and bases, though the 737s will be used for a new service between Algiers and Paris-Orly in May 10th.
Tassili’s passenger fleet also operates four Bombardier Dash 8-Q200s and four Dash 8-Q400s, and has four Embraer E190s on order.
