Continental Airlines on Tuesday announced that it will move its operations from Terminal A to Terminal B at Orlando International Airport starting next Wednesday.

The move will centralize its proximity to fellow Star Alliance members United and US Airways which are already located in Terminal B. In addition, Continental’s gates at Orlando International will move from Airside 1 to Airside 3 on Thursday, occupying gates 33, 33, 36 and 39.

The ticketing and check-in counter will relocate to Terminal B on Wednesday too. The relocation will allow customers to connect between Continental and Continental Connection’s 28 daily flights and other Star Alliance carrier flights thus consolidating the Star Alliance carriers on Airside 3.

Members of Continental’s Presidents Club and Star Alliance Gold members will have convenient access to the United Airlines Red Carpet Club located between Gates 42 and 44. Also, Continental Connection flights to Miami, Pensacola and Tallahassee will begin departing from gate 46A.

The Star Alliance network offers more than 60 daily departures from Orlando. Continental’s relocation in Orlando follows similar moves at airports in many domestic and international markets, like Denver, Detroit, Houston, Chicago, Frankfurt, Tokyo, Honolulu, Barcelona and Beijing.

Continental Airlines, a member of Star Alliance, is the world’s fifth largest airline. Continental, together with Continental Express and Continental Connection, has more than 2,700 daily departures throughout the Americas, Europe and Asia, serving 132 domestic and 137 international destinations.
