The OpenSkies are beginning to look dark: British Airways will postpone expansion of their OpenSkies subsidiary, citing a drop in premium demand. 10 or 11 mainline BA 757s that had been planned for conversion to OpenSkies service will instead be sold off, leaving only four aircraft to serve the biz-class airline’s two routes, ORY-JFK and AMS-JFK. The expansion was expected to add more non-stops between European cities and New York, such as Brussels, Barcelona, Frankfurt and Milan.
