Sadly the overlap of the State Funeral & diplomatic flights to NYC this week even harder as many flights are coming to the UN from London rather than from their home bases. Many also have requested that they not get tracked. I was unable to track the Ukrainian aircraft.

Thanks. I need clarification, about the "Nigh****ch" 742, 73-1676. I think she landed at STN on Sunday as GRIM99 but on my notes, I wrote Offutt AFB. I am a senior who had a stroke, so I am confused. I am sure Biden left from STN after the funeral but thought he flew to JFK.

She is based at Offutt; sorry for the confusion. I think she landed at Mildenhall.

Trying to track an unknown blocked 772 from Sofia, Bulgaria. She appears headed to JFK. Hope somebody saw & will post the IL-96 from VKO. She landed in the dark & then departed for IAD.

Any idea when this might leave JFK?

I also see that the German A340 is scheduled out of JFK tonight (according to JetTip) but no info on when it might come back to JFK before that. Any idea?

EDIT: just answered my own question: German A343 just departed IAD at 1700L. Should arrive JFK in the next hour.

    *local time is UTC/Zulu-4:00*

    Sept. 22
0740L: Last post was getting way too long, so time for a new one. Biman Bangladesh left Stewart just before 0500L to head back to Dhaka. A Malaysia Airlines A350, 9M-MAG, arrived bright and early into JFK this morning at 0410L as MH8501 with the Malaysia delegation. Guess there’s no 9M-NAA/NAB this time around. Repositioning to Stewart shortly.

1010L: Oman and Paraguay out. Can Force One out too, this time on the Challenger that came into Teterboro a couple days ago. Korea’s transponders are active at Dulles, so probably prepping to return to New York. HZ-NSA, which left Stewart a couple days ago to head back to Europe and the Middle East, is headed westbound back towards the Atlantic once again *1030L update: landing into Shannon*. Mali’s 737 BBJ, TZ-PRM, is passing northwest over Cape Verde as MALI02, heading towards New York. Colombia’s FAC1219 is scheduled out of JFK at noon, though FR24 is saying estimated 1300L. Probably will repo from Dover to JFK soon. Kuwait’s 345 is due out of Stewart at 1900L for JFK. Should be out of JFK in the 2100L hour.

1640L: Lots of people leaving today. One of Hungary’s Falcons, 607, departed southbound around 1030L this morning out of Teterboro. One of the Qatar 320s, A7-HSJ, repositioned from Stewart to JFK around noon then departed southbound. Niger departed Stewart heading southbound (no repositioning flight), Ecuador departed Teterboro, Jordan departed Islip heading westbound (again, no repositioning), and Israel departed JFK heading back towards the Atlantic. Colombia leaving JFK now, and Slovakia is back at JFK. Gabon is repositioning from HPN to LaGuardia. The ANA that chartered the Japanese PM departed Dulles heading straight back to Japan, so maybe the government-owned 777(s) will take Kishida back to Japan (they’re both at Dulles now). Mali’s getting vectored like crazy near Boston, so about 30-45 minutes out. HZ-NSA left Shannon to cross the Atlantic and is about two hours out of the New York area.

1705L: Colombia airborne out of JFK. Turkey A400 en route from Dover to JFK, ETA 20 minutes. One of Japan’s 777-300ERs, 80-1111, is airborne out of Dulles as JF001, seems to be coming to JFK. Funny how this happens 15 minutes after the last post (if you read it you’ll get it). The other Japan, 80-1112 is leaving Dulles now as JF002, probably following JF001. Gabon is actually going to Newark, not LaGuardia.

1830L: Turkey, Mali and Japans at JFK. Spain also is at JFK, repositioned from Stewart. Slovakia out and heading back towards the Atlantic. Polands 738s are on their way from AC to Newark. 0112 is landing soon, and 0111 is leaving AC now. HZ-NSA is on the descent for Newark or Stewart.

1940L: Gabon leaving Newark now. Iran and Kuwait repositioning Stewart to JFK. 9H-TBN repositioning Islip to LaGuardia. AF1 just got back to DC, left JFK around 1900L.

2025L: HZ-NSA landed Stewart. Lebanon Falcon left Teterboro to cross the Atlantic. Ivory Coast repositioning from Stewart to Newark. Mali leaving JFK now, repositioning to White Plains. A United States Air Force C17, 97-0041, landed JFK around 10 mins ago as RCH3256. Picking up the motorcade.

2200L: 9H-TBN, Turkey A400, Japan 1 and one of the Polands out. Spain just left JFK. The second Poland and Japan 2 departing now from Newark and JFK, respectively. A7-HSJ back on the descent into JFK. The Netherlands’ 737 BBJ, PH-GOV, is enroute from Amsterdam to White Plains. ETA at like 0200L.

2355L: Iran, Kuwait and Ivory Coast out. VP-CKH out of Islip heading straight back to the Atlantic. Gabon’s G4, TR-KSP, landed into White Plains this afternoon from Basel via Gander. C17 left about an hour ago. Bolivia's Falcon left Teterboro yesterday afternoon.

    Sept. 23
0740L: Netherlands is in White Plains. Botswana recently left Teterboro again, and this time it’s out for good. Climbing through the flight levels out to the Atlantic. A7-HSJ repositioned back to Stewart last night and is on the way back to JFK again. Gabon’s G4 just repositioned from White Plains to LaGuardia.

1135L: Gabon and HSJ are out. Ukraine is back at JFK. 2-DEER, a DeerJet 787-8 BBJ operating for Angola, is descending into somewhere in Spain now as ANGOLA1. I’ll keep an eye on it.

1805L: Ukraine left a couple hours ago. Palestine left White Plains about two hours ago. Turkey’s 550 repositioned from Stewart to JFK and just departed JFK. Senegal is back at JFK. DR Congo repositioning from Stewart to JFK. Pakistan is at Newark. Hungary’s second 7X, 606, just departed Teterboro. Angola never left Spain (went to Malaga), so maybe not coming to New York. Sudan RoyalJet due out of JFK at 2100L, so should be repositioning from Stewart soon. Netherlands due out of HPN at 2130L tonight, nonstop back to Amsterdam.

2205L: Senegal, Pakistan, DR Congo, Sudan, and Netherlands out. Chile repositioned from Stewart to JFK shortly after the last update and just left JFK heading south. Philippines is back in Newark. Scheduled out at 0200L.

    Sept. 24
1230L: Monaco’s 8X left last night back to Nice. Rwanda GainJet left around 0930L this morning, crossing the Atlantic back to Africa. G-KELT, an A320NEO ACJ, arrived into White Plains a couple hours ago from Cork Ireland as CRV1. This one came to White Plains last year too, but I’m not sure who it’s operating for nor if it’s even UNGA related. Jordan came back to Islip yesterday evening. Russia just left Dulles for JFK as RSD018. Scheduled out of JFK around 1600L. HZ-NSA and Swaziland repositioning from Stewart to JFK as well. One of Spain's Falcon 900s, T.18-3, flew from Madrid to Stewart (via Lajes) on Tuesday morning and departed Stewart Thursday night back to Madrid.

2210L: VP-CKH came back to Newark today. Russia, Swaziland and HZ-NSA out. Iraq also out, repositioned from Stewart to JFK in the 1600L hour and departed JFK just before 1900L. Guinea-Bussau out on N890DA, departed Teterboro about an hour ago. Here’s what’s left in the New York area, to my knowledge: China (B-3999), Jordan (VQ-BNZ), Libya (5A-ONE), Malaysia (9M-NAG), Mali (TZ-PRM), Namibia (V5-GON), Nigeria (5N-FGT), Saudi Arabia (HZ-MF1 and HZ-SKY2), Sierra Leone (also N890DA), and Zimbabwe (P4-CLA).

    Sept. 25
1020L: China repositioned from Stewart to JFK early this morning and departed JFK around 0830L. Saudi 737 repositioned from Dulles to JFK and departed JFK shortly after China. Both are headed back to the Atlantic. Malaysia repositioned from Stewart to JFK, and Nigeria just landed at JFK from Dover. Both are scheduled out of JFK at noon local.

1900L: Malaysia and Nigeria are goners. Jordan repositioned from Islip to JFK this afternoon and departed JFK about an hour ago to head back to the Atlantic. I think this one's a goner for good this time (it's teased us the last two times though, so you never know). Pakistan's G4, J-755, is just airborne out of Stewart as PAAF524. This one isn't here for UNGA though, as far as I'm aware. It flew earlier today from Van Nuys (landed at SWF around 1530L), where it's been parked since late June. It seems to be departing towards the Atlantic.

    Sept. 26
1945L: Saudi 330 snuck out last night. Repositioned Stewart to JFK in the 2200L hour yesterday and departed JFK around 0030L for Tokyo. Zimbabwe departed mid-day today. Repositioned Stewart to JFK in the 1000L hour and departed JFK around 1220L to cross back over the Atlantic. The only ones left are Libya (5A-ONE), Mali (TZ-PRM), Namibia (V5-GON) and Sierra Leone (N890DA).

    Sept. 27
2120L: Mali left late last night. Repositioned from HPN to JFK around 2300L then departed JFK at 0120L. Libya departed this evening (thanks MarioFL!). Repositioned from Stewart to JFK around 1600L and departed JFK just after 1900L. This leaves Namibia and Sierra Leone as the last ones, though I don't even know if Sierra Leone is going back on 890DA. For all I know, they could've chartered a different jet under a random callsign.

    Sept. 30
0030L: Namibia departed yesterday morning, and with that I declare UNGA 2022 complete! Thanks to all of you for your help with tracking, especially last Monday when everything fled London at once. This year, despite a couple regular visitors lacking and practically nothing arriving on the weekend, was probably one of the best in terms of number and variety of planes. In the morning I will post the full list of aircraft that visited this year.

Malaysia delegation came in on Malaysian Airlines, interesting! Their first time doing that?

I was hoping to fly up there and spot right from the terminal but they haven't been using 31R for landings when I've looked, so almost a waste of time to be shooting far away from the garage for 22L or backlit 31L departures :/ I wonder if VIPs are using 31L on arrivals if the 31s are in use? That'd also be backlit from the garage anyways

I think Israeli delegation came on a 772 from ELY, 4X-ECD. The new 763 4X-ISR is still in storage. The British 332 painted with the UK Flag, ZZZ336, also never csme.

I think Air Force 1 uses 31R\31L for arrival. Most others arrive wo
Ith the runway in use then get escorted down Rwy 3IL towards Helipad. I always get escorted off the rooftop parking garage by Barton security
Do you let you stay? I also hate backlit photos. You would have loved T3 PanAm rooftop views. No secirity & restrooms & food services nearby. It was demplished & JFK has no designated area for spotters.

    Hi, Speedbird1
I've caught AF1 on 31R but don't care for it anymore. Barton security (since renamed Allied Universal) gave me problems back in 2013. I played hide and seek with them in 2018, last year i was up there in afternoon and had no issues. But it's always a gamble with airport/rent a cop security. Things never went back to normal after 9/11 in the Commiestates of America "land of the free". There's only a few UN airliners i care about so don't need to be out there too long. Last year i actually was going to stay a few days and meet up with a certain spotter from out of town who rented a car for a week but he didn't want to move from the spotting area for15 mins to come pick me up, so I just flew back home when the day was over. Took a few shots in the afternoon which is the best time to be up there like i said with no issues. Back in 2018 I believe Uber wasn't allowed near the JFK terminal, only taxis were available but they wanted to overcharge.

AF1 likes 31L for arrival and 13R for departure to minimize taxi time. Landed 31L on Tuesday despite a 4s operation. Nassau police were accommodating to the spotters out on Tuesday and had no issue with us taking pictures of her as she landed in glorious light.

Overall it’s been a great UN week and the weather has cooperated pretty well for it.

UK showed in one of their 321neo’s.

The IL96 just departed Dulles for JFK

  15. #60
not sure if there's any other UN aircraft around but Libya finally re positioned to JFK from Stewart and left JFK around 19:00L.

Thanks for the great thread and updates, nice to see this topic survive lol
