JFK is working with 1 runway today!

fun afternoon watching flightradar24 flights are circling all over the place and diversion galore.

combo of visibility, wind, and construction.

    fun fun fun!

It would seem that the word "working" is a bit of an overstatement. Things were a mess there all day, spending most of the morning on 31R. They briefly switched to the 4s a little after 11, but that didn't last long at all, maybe 15 minutes tops. Then it was back to 31R only until I stopped listening to LiveATC mid afternoon.

I remember landing at JFK on the 4's in the 727 on a day that boasted an RVR of 1800 feet and a 25 kt direct crosswind, only JFK !!!
The beehive hummm of the JT9D and GE CF680C2,the thunder of the JT8D-17,the rumble of the PW1830 and the high ,thin whine of the PW 545A are all music to my ears!
