LIVING IN THE AGE OF AIRPLANES-

Just got home after having seen it in the Cradle of Aviation's IMAX theater.

Not exactly an AVGEEK movie but more to inspire an appreciation of the benefits of flying to the general public.

Opening scenes out of the Mohave graveyard.

Narrated by Harrison Ford, a National Geographic film.

    AVGEEK observations:

NO ORBIS? No Concorde? No real drooling classic airliner footage.

A LOT LOT LOT of Airbus 380 footage. Thought an Airbus salesman was waiting by the door.

Great segment on how flying has made our world smaller.

Great timeline of how leptokurtic the curve is in terms of human speed from 200000 years ago to today.
(3 MPH by foot to 550 MPH by air)

    Worth a look.
And I, I took the path less traveled by
and that has made all the difference......yet...
I have a feeling a handle of people are going to be very interested in what I post in the near future.

Saw it today at the New York Hall of Science. Definitely worth a watch, but I wish it were bit longer. Made by Brian Terwilliger, the guy behind One Six Right, it seemed a bit more geared towards the museum rounds, but still enjoyable nonetheless.
