    JFK 7/12/2014

These are my first shots with an average DSLR. Hopefully they will get better! Taken from the Mounds. Please let me know if you have any suggestions on improvements in the photography and editing in photoshop! Thanks :)

Good Start! Glad to see that you got into the photography side. Just Watch yourself for backlighting!

REMEMBER- Plane in front of you, sun behind you. It looks like you've got everything under control.
Probably the youngest spotter ever to walk up the face of the mounds.

Thanks Jared! Yeah, I was at The Mounds in the morning so the lighting was backlit.
I'm currently using the T3i with 55-250mm, and I have Lightroom and Photoshop. Am I editing right? :P

Your cropping looks good but try working on exposure and sharpness, are you shooting the 55-250 wide open? If so try Av at f/8

Thanks for the help. Yea, I'll use those settings next time - I'll be out at JFK again on August 10.
Is there a certain photoshop procedure you guys use?

I use: Crop > Levels(in general and by color channel) > Sharpening(Unsharp Mask)
But I'm pretty new to this too...

Thank you! I'll try that. Haha yeah, it seems kind of difficult.
