I saw this when AirlineRoute posted it the other night. At first I thought that they must be familiarization flight. However once they posted the schedule, I was pleasantly surprised to see that it looks permanent. Should be a Monday/Thursday/Saturday arrival around 12:30 PM. What a nice change that will be over the 737s.

I'm actually a little surprised the 787 will be used on this route. Seems a bit too short, for an aircraft designed for very long sectors. I would think they would use it for hops to Europe.

    But, bring it on!!!

I thought the same thing as well, but this screams of being an aircraft utilization run matched with the Tokyo and/or Paris flights. Fly it to JFK and back instead of having it sit for hours.

It sounds like a short route, but, what better route to showcase your Premium aircraft?
    I think it's a great idea....well that and it's a 787 coming to JFK!
