Are they still playing hockey? The new season starts in like 3 weeks, right?

    Typical Islander fan!! LOL!!!
Yes they are and the games have been amazing!! Dont really have a rooting interest either way but I am enjoying watching the battles between two pretty evenly matched teams!! I see the Cup being won in Game 7 in OT!!
And the TV ratings have been pretty good also!!

Anyone see that shot by Chara the other night? It was shot so hard it was in and out before Crawford could weekly wave at it then he slipped and fell on his ass!!
Could be Cup time tonite though still feel its going to 7 games!! Hope so because then its nothing but baseball on TV and our locals have been barely entertaining!!

Chara's shot was a rocket. Had to watch the slo-mo replay several times to see what part of the net he actually hit. It looked like it came out faster than it went in! Not sure any goalie would have stopped that one.

As for alternative sports to watch, I'm a follower of Formula 1 Grand Prix racing. The season is really long and the drama between races is sometimes better than the stuff happening on the track.

Enjoy the big tennis matches and Wimbledon just started today and already Nadal upset by a player ranked 135th!! But it looked like Nadals knee was still bothering him though he refused to use that as an excuse.
And speaking of injuries looks like Toews and Bergeron will both play tonite!! Hockey players are a rare breed or just a little crazy tough!!

Love tennis, played 15 years. And I'm patiently waiting for the next doping scandal, starring Rafa Nadal. Mark my words.

I hate the Hawks, I hated how that game ended up, but I can't help but enjoy the fact that it seemed like people cared about hockey on a national level... at least for a few days.

    Thank god for F1.
