    Streamline Air Suspends Ops

Sad day for my local airport (TTN), as Streamline Air suspended their single route (TTN-BED) on Friday. They had issues with Charter Air Transport putting the aircraft on other routes, credit card processing problems, and mediocre loads. I watched employees moving equipment out of the terminal, as the final flight came in.

Here are some of the subbed aircraft I caught, in all their yellow-tinted glory:

Yes, a subsidiary of Charter Air Transport. One of the issues was Charter Air Transport using N651CT for casino runs. They'd try to squeeze them in between Streamline flights, and that would result in delays and cancellations. A shame, because when N651CT was dedicated to Streamline, service was punctual most of the time.

The original FAA filing for the TTN-BED flights was only until September 28. Weird that they would shut it down 2 weeks early. I always wonder how things would have gone if the County Freeholders hadn't dicked around with the terminal expansion back in the mid-90s.
