Not to be the thread Police but since this thread is about Kids Day not one site members collection, so getting back to Kids Day the advance weather forecast looks very promising so I hope to see a lot of you their Phil I hope I did not overstep my zero authority on here. Respectfully LGA777

No worries on getting us back on track. Little early to rely on the weather forecast but I'm looking forward to it!

I'm really looking forward to this. I read about it last year about a week after it happened and was bummed I had missed it. Hopefully I'll get to meet a few of you there.

Have a family party that day, but may see how close I can cut it, just to swing by for some quick photos. Damned obsession... : )

Sorry about that mention of my collection but it was brought-up that the collectibles show was on the same day. To get back to Kids Day, the weather looks fine. Any word of what will be on display? I am unable to view the LGA Kiwanis site. Are other members having the same problems? In past years, they posted an announcement for the event. Just wondering!

Can't wait. This is the event of the year for me. I have been attending the US Open nearby and viewed many of the LGA aircraft but to see them close-up is fantastic! Weather looks good too !

Am I reading the NOTAM correctly that the RY will be closed from 1000-2200 Local? The event is scheduled for much less than that. I know they need prep. Time , but I guess they need a couple of hours cleanup as well. Enjoy! I can't make it.

They often close the runway for scheduled work on the weekend, this isn't necessarily due to the Open House. In fact, in past years, we have seen arrivals on Rwy 4 during Kids Day.

Yeah, that's for regular construction that they do on Saturdays during the summer, since it's the slowest day of the week.

Those times are zulu, no local, so it's closed from 6am-6pm local.

Forecasted wind direction for Saturday is NNW turning to NW mid day so almost def up and down 31. For anyone hoping to catch the KC-135 arrival I am told they expect to leave McGire around 0900L so I would guessitmate around a 0920-0940 arrival. I am told the Marines C-130 was pulled at the last minute so the KC-135 will likely be the only Military visitor. Not sure what DL is bringing over likely a 319 again, US will have N742PS again by request and AA is bringing a fairly new 738 again with the Boeing Sky Interior. Last year we had a nice turn out of NYC Aviation members hopefully the same again and hope to see many of you their.

    Cheers LGA777

I plan to be there around noon with my two boys. Anyone know if anything from the Airpower Museum is coming this year? Last year, they sent the C-47. A few Skytypers also were on hand.

The AAM is planning to bring the C-47 to LGA again this year.
