    KJFK From Home (running thread)

I've decided that since I've been posting some fairly mediocre shots from home just about every day, I should just throw them in the same thread and only post elsewhere if I actually head out. Here is today's shots.

At first I thought this was some sort of special, and then I realized that it was just disgustingly dirty

The Air France would be a SPECIAL if it were clean.

Thanks you! I'm just slowly teaching myself Lightroom, so the shots will get better over time. Maybe some more today.

Not to nitpik, but you caught a strobe, (which is tougher). Beacon is red on top & bottom of aircraft. :)

Hurray for me! lol. I don't think I've ever gotten the strobe before. And now I know the difference forever.

you got the Arik Air, that's a nice catch. I saw that one fly over earlier.

I was not expecting that, but I'm happy I got it! I also saw that Caribbean was running a 767, and it turned out to be that Omni bird. I have never gotten that one before. I wish the quality was better, but I'm happy to see anything considering it was on my deck.

of course they do, you just don't see them as they are usually a night time operation.

The Arik A340 seems to come in every 2-4 days. But as Eric said, they usually depart at about midnight or 2am.
According to flightaware, that was the first daylight departure since Jan 17th where it left at 8:36am.

Some more from this afternoon, with another surprise!

Right at 6pm, 2 jetBlue A320s came directly over my house very low and very fast. Turns out there was wind shear reported and the tower *very* abruptly changed to the 22s. The first of the go-arounds was under 900 feet and actually dipped off the radar for a moment

These 3 are uncropped, just to show how low they were.
