Cool KVCV - February 24, 2011 (Image Heavy)

Had a few days off this week and found myself in the LA area via YYZ. Met up with a buddy of mine and we rented a 172 and took a trip out to VCV. My second year in a row of doing a VCV photo flight and equally as rewarding as last year's trip - if not more so. Anyway, here are some of the highlights of the trip.

My favorite shots of the day were these two:

Manny and Hiss Srq...........took the words right out of my mouth. Last time I flew on a Tristar was from LGA to MIA on Eastern Airlines.

for me it was an EAL 1011 JFK-BDA IN '74
The beehive hummm of the JT9D and GE CF680C2,the thunder of the JT8D-17,the rumble of the PW1830 and the high ,thin whine of the PW 545A are all music to my ears!

Wow, great stuff. It is hard to imagine how it is possible to park something worth millions in the desert. It is surreal looking at the Flikr slideshow.
