Nice series.......the Monarch is an awesome catch. Nice perspective from the ramp......it reminds me of when I use to work at the airport when attending college.

Yea monarch was a complete suprise. I was driving around saying to myself its a slow morning. I turn my head to the right between T5 and 4 and then go DIVERT DIVERT. Wish it was sunny though. that isnt a very good photo.

The Monarch is a yearly shopping charter. I believe last year the flight was operated by an A300. Thomsonfly/First Choice also flies a similar charter so keep an eye out for that.

Nick is an Aircraft Ambassador at the airport. He gets to escort the planes to and from their ramps to make them feel better... and we love him for it

Sweet... the Monarch came in just as I was about to exit the Van Wyck and enter the Nassau Exp. :-( I had hopes of catching her flying in but it was not to be. Then I had no idea where they stashed it. Could not see it from "outside" at all.

Here are just a few from yesterday (11/22) at the mounds. Met Fred from the Air Museum and Conrad.

Wow!! Those Mounds shots are just awesome.... I always get there when they switch late afternoon. I have to make it there earlier (if ATC and the winds help)

The light wasn't that good until around 2-ish give or take. The noses and engines were lite well, but the side of the aircraft was shadowed.

Mmmm im a Loadmaster in training. slow days give me some time. While true the inside of the airport gives me all sorts of angles you couldnt get normally I have to sacrifice high quality for it. I hope to join you guys one day at the mounds. If monarch is still hiding somewhere tomorrow ull see me back with it. If not depends on whats around and the quality for the day
