    JFK 11/17/2010 TAM Soccer Livery

I finally caught this beauty! And again, totally by accident. I had the day off yesterday as I had some personal errands to take care of as well as Parent Teacher meeting etc. In the middle of the day I had a big gap so I decided I would go and try to catch a few shots of the Emirates A380 taxiing. When I got there, winds were gusting at 35knots! Anyway, I was totally surprised to find the TAM parked on the ramp. It was in a tough spot but I got lucky when they moved her to my favorite gate

    What I originally came for.

    And now the beaut!

I had to leave at 3ish so I could not stay to catch her in flight. Did anyone catch her leaving? Mark!! ??? That's your specialty... lol

I also learned another lesson... DO NOT miss an opportunity. I shot this guy coming in far away just to zoom in and identify. On the viewfinder all I saw was Turkish air and ignored it. Then at home I realized it was a special Taken at 200mm on a full frame sensor. Not very croppable at 12MP either... she was about 1 mile out

Great images Manny! I wasn't around yesterday, but today is another day. I am winding down with work for the day, because I have to take some vacation time (I actually have too much time that I have to start using it up, otherwise I lose it!!!). Will probably head out to Panera for a few hours.

Thanks Mark. Yeah, well, too bad. I had hoped someone got a shot of the TAM in flight. Wonder how often she comes in?

My apologies... I entered 18 instead of 17 on the thread title... :-( Is there any way to change it? I changed the top post but aparently that does not change it on the forum itself.

The Turkish is TC-JJB. She comes into JFK all the time.

Yeah I realized that. I have it on my database already... but, never from that angle :-) That was my point, that even if you have it, it may be worth it from a different perspective. I just figured it was a regular livery.

I had heard about her, never looked her up on the web, and was floored by it. Love the livery. I think between all the wild liveries out there, my fave is the Japanese Pokemon 747s, Swiss Air San Fran second and then the rest.. with TAM right up there.
