It was from the Rhode Island National Guard 0-24424. Used call sign what sounded like "Landon 79". Left at 1:55 (crew of 3) and headed out SW.

Santa was at the AAM once again, and they were offering taxi rides in the Waco...

Also, there was a surprise visit by a Tuskegee Airman. Raymond Cassagnol is visiting New York from his Florida home, and visited the museum this afternoon. Mr. Cassagnol, a native of Haiti, joined the Haitian military during the Second World War. He was one of three Haitians sent to Tuskegee in 1943 to be trained as pilots. Following his training, he returned to Haiti, where he served as an instructor pilot and flew anti-submarine patrols over the Atlantic Ocean. Mr. Cassagnol, now 90, was in the same training class with Daniel "Chappie" James Jr. and Lee Archer, and roomed with Archer during training.

Ah I was wondering what they were doing. As I was watching the Blackhawk they came by a few times.

Yes, there is the annual Pearl Harbor Memorial service. It is scheduled to begin at 10:30am, I'll probably be there at least an hour before that. If you haven't been, it is certainly worth attending. We usually have several PH survivors in attendance. It's quite a moving memorial.

Photos from the past few years...

P-51. Not from today but from over the summer. Seems kind of quiet at the airport now.

The three most common expressions in aviation are, "Why is it doing that?", "Where are we?" and "Oh Crap".

    Whoa, whose is that?
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9
