    Someone Stole A Photo...

I came across this online - looks like some Swedish cable company stole one of my photos for use in an ad. It looks like it even ended up on a billboard! I'll have to see if there is anything I can do about it...

Holy Crap, it looks like you have a good lawsuit as they used it on a BILLBOARD!!!! :borat:

Then again, you never got a release for the portrait!!! Check your mail for a registered letter!

I love reading Fred's posts and hearing his voice as I read it. :)

Funny stuff, Moose! The quality of how they handled the photo is actually good....looks very close to legit.

Trying to pursue an trademark infringement overseas is difficult at best impossible at worst, especially on an individual basis. The photo may also not have been stolen from the company it represents but by the ad agency that designed the ad, which adds another layer of complexity. I'd be curious to see if the company has any good will and compensates you for the use or ignores you.

It's amazing how these companies do this. I caught a broker in Fla using my shot of one of the Sands SP to advertise it since it's for sale. I called and they said they were sending payment which I haven't received. Is this company in Sweden? That makes it tougher but this is BS.
