    TheStreet.com:
United to Buy Boeing, Airbus Jets: Exclusive

CHICAGO (TheStreet) -- United is expected to announce Tuesday that it will order new widebody aircraft from both Boeing and Airbus, TheStreet.com has learned.

The order will be for both Boeing 787s and Airbus A350s, according to people familiar with the order, and would represent a major boost for each of the two manufacturers, since significant delays have hampered each aircraft's development. Spokesmen for Airbus, Boeing and United declined to comment. [article]
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9

That is very interesting to see which models they will be ordering, what aircraft is being phased out & what routes the aircraft will be use on.....

So, the A350 to replace the 747 & the 787 to replace the 767?

United said it ordered 25 of Boeing's long-awaited 787 widebody jetliners and 25 of the Airbus A350. Delivery is expected between 2016 and 2019, around the same time the airline will retire Boeing 747 and 767 aircraft.

i never understood the reason behind announcing an announcement the day before making said announcment.
it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.

When you think about it it could be an insider whos getting paid off to leak it, or it could be used to maybe bolster stocks. A few things come to mind but than again I dont own an airline or a aircraft manufacturig firm.
