    LGA 9/15

Woke up early this morning and saw the skies were pretty nice and decided to head out for some shooting. JFK's runways weren't too optimal, and LGA's wasn't the greatest, but I figured college Point wouldn't be too bad for the 22 arrivals.

I'm thinking about submitting the US A319, the first AA 757 (side shot) and the Spirit. Critique those anyone? Some of the others aren't the greatest but I liked them anyway.

i'd go with the banking shot of the AAL 757.
it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.

I was going to head to to LGA today but decided to try some JFK shots... wasted my day though. Now I wish I would have gone to LGA

I don't know if JP would accept that banking shot...too far prob.

JFK seemed to be more cloudy than LGA for sure.

Yeah it was.. and I got harassed by park employees so it was really a wasted day.

    I love the banking shot!

Great set Phil! I saw the same AA 757 performing its bank from the observation tower at school.

Great shots both of you! The scenery in the AA bank should justify the slight distance to JP.

Sergio, were you on a boat? Looks like you were nearly under approach (at least for the distance via MacNeil). The sun made a peep and sure livened up WN!

Negitive, i have a spot close to my house which is in Soundview, in the Bronx. theres a public park I spot at in soundview which is Cleason Pt. I also have another spot by the water where I can get the 22 arrivals in the late afternoon near the same location.

    Phil...

I LOVE the AA 757 banking with the city. Even if Anet and Jp wont take it, I'd call it a winner in my book! Awesome shot!

    Seconded by this Matt.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.

I cast my vote for the AA bank too - and who cares if jp.net and a.net don't take it: It's their loss if they don't!

Phil, I like the Star Alliance ERJ photo. I think you should submit that one too.

Most of my eagerness to get shots online is to cure my rust in terms of actual photo quality. My eyes truly can't detect proper exposure, levels, etc. with my photography, so uploading is my way of letting others tell me if I did that part right and then me learning all over again from that. If that makes sense.
