    Re: Daily LGA Report 2009

    23 May

1330L N684AA AA's Pink Breast Cancer 757 was back today.

1800 N323US My first sighting of this particuliar A-320 in the DL scheme, I believe their are 14 A-320's painted now.

Also see below from the rwy construction thread.

4-22 opened up about 2 hours early again today, prior to that LGA was up and down 13. We had a treat the first hour of my shift starting at 1300, as they where using a rare approach I have only seen used a few times, making a very short and sharpe left base for 13 just NW of Rikers Island. For you Passur fans set the time to 1310L on 5-23 and you will see what I mean.

    Cheers

    Neat. ILS 22 circle-to-land 13?
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.

    24 May

1630L N292JB jetBlue E-190 "Parlez-Blue?" was a nice unexpected visitor operating BOS-LGA-RIC due to delays at JFK.

1800L N557WY really nice looking G-IV, no shots of this one on JP or the blue site even though it was built in 1995.

    Regards

    25 May

1400L N684AA AA's Breast Cancer Pink 757, my third sighting this week

1900L Allthough it did not actually land a rare treat as a USMC V-22 Offsprey did a flyover of the Mets game at Citifield due to Memorial day, then turned westbound just south of LGA, past over mid-town Manhattan then up the Hudson and left turn into Teterboro, amazing sight.

1930L Not 30 mins later a CH-47 Chinook made a nice approach and landing at 5 Towers, another very cool sight and sound.

    Regards

Thanks Sergio, their was a time when I knew this stuff by memory. I looked thru the binacs at work the other day and thought I read 684AA, to my defense AA reg's are always a bitch to read, thanks for setting the record straight.

    Cheers

    01 June

1630L N203FR Frontier A-320, see separate thread for more info.

1930L N757SS Texas Rangers 757, arrived as they play the Yankees for the next 3 games. Is parked at Echo near where the Orbis DC-10 parked and is probably visible (not shootable) from Plaineview. Will probably depart around 1730L on Thursday as their last game of the set is at 1300 Thursday.

    Regards
