Does anyone know if they are doing the TSA checks at FRG for helicopters entering the TFR like they did last year?
    Yes they are:
FDC NOTAM 8/8728 has been issued for the New York City area for 09/22-24/08.

An 7NM TFR centered on the LGA259005.8 prohibits GA operations at La Guardia (LGA) from 0900L(1300z) on 09/22/08 until 1700L(2100z) on 09/24/08.

There is a cut-out from the Inner Core for TEB access during the TFR.
Please make sure your crews are aware of their proximity to the TFR area.

Also Helicopter operations arriving and departing the 30th Street Heliport (JRA), East 34th Street Heliport (6N5) and Downtown Manhattan-Wall Street Heliport (JRB) will have to be TSA screened.
Gateway airports have been created at REPUBLIC AIRPORT, NY (FRG) AND LINDEN AIRPORT, NJ (LDJ) BY FAA, TSA AND USSS to accommodate helicopters arriving and departing JRA, JRB, 6N5. TSA screening will be available at these locations from 0700L(1100z) until 1959L(2359z) daily.

Eric posts the IL-62 so stealthily.

    I love it!

Ahh.. a few more hours and we'll be taxiing through some of these wonderful a/c today.

Anyone know if the FlAAgship lounge has decent views?
And I, I took the path less traveled by
and that has made all the difference......yet...
I have a feeling a handle of people are going to be very interested in what I post in the near future.

Would've loved to have seen the Ukraine, Iran and especially the Congo 707 -did it come in?

It also would be fun to hang out with some of you again, maybe next time. I know I haven't posted here since um, last year? excuse my anti-social behavior

It would be great to see the posted shots of those rarities in the ramp like in the old school JFK days

Not to be too premature, but when can we expect departures and would they be spread out over the course of a few days?

I'm sorry I missed this passed weekend. But I won't go into that.

Was at JRB first but we closed it up for a movement. As I get on the FDR, the Chinook came in. Then went to 6N5 in time to catch the POTUS come around to go down the FDR then to JRA which was busy. Yes, they are just inside the gate.

    Some of EWR's Visitors Today:

    MAF1

Not an exciting visitor but she's in town to work on her foreign relations as being able to see Russia from your back yard doesn't cut it these days

If the aircraft parks at Terminal B, do the VIPs go through the terminal or right out onto the tarmac and into transport cars?

From what I've seen at EWR and JFK last weekend, visitors arriving on scheduled flights go through the terminal on the departures level where limos and PAPD/Secret Service etc are waiting.

What time did the Polska 154 come in? I could have sworn it came right over my office in Princeton, on a west-east heading.

I've seen a little of both, some went through the terminals(when I flew in Sat night the Burkina Faso gov't was in the Diplomatic Visa line that was set up in the terminal with the rest of customs, but then today I think they cleared on the plane. They sat on the plane for a good 10 mins or so before exiting the jetway stairs to some waiting limos. My exif data says 2:51pm for the arrival and it was on the 4's so it was very possible you saw them.
