    Delta Doubles Second Bag Fee

Checking more than one bag on Delta? Now you're going to pay $50 for that second bag, up from $25, according to a press release from Delta today.

Fees for odd shaped luggage like snowboards are going up, too, but the press release does not say how much.

First and Bizzers still get to check up to 3 bags for free.

They probably will (oil has actually been falling all week), but I doubt the airlines will ever remove these fees even if fuel drops 50%.

Also, I left out some other new fees...$125 (up from $80) each for your third, fourth and fifth bags on domestic flights, $150 on international jaunts.

At this rate, it might be better to FedEx your bags to your destination - it may end up costing less, and you probably have a better chance of them showing up where you want them when you want them.
