    Fireworks Bald Hill July 4th

Moose and my two little ones went out for a nice light show. This time it was Motars by Grucci!

Hope everyone had a happy and safe Independence Day. As Fred said, we went out to see the fireworks display at Bald Hill. Fortunately we were able to find a spot under cover so we didn't get wet while dodging the scattered showers that came through. This was my first attempt at shooting fireworks, so thanks for the advice, Fred!

Unfortunately, the fireworks weren't close enough to get the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in the shot.

Great shots both of you! I was planning on getting some shots in West Palm last night of the fireworks, but we had such crappy weather all afternoon/evening, we never went out. Another time......

    Awesome shots!

Didn't want to start another fireworks thread, so I hope you all don't mind if I place mine in here as well...

Couldn't make it to a professional display this year, so I ended up throwing the scanner in the car, caught up with a few friends, and we drove around looking for more local, private shows before the cops could shut them down. It certainly made for an entertaining evening.

Somewhere east/SE of me in the Old Bethpage or Mellville area someone had a huge fireworks show that must have lasted over 40 minutes. I was in my backyard and
kept hearing it but was obscured by trees so I went out front, walked down the block and got a decent view. Other neighbors were coming out also. I would
guess it had to have a permit. I wish I had known about it earlier I would have gotten closer.

Great shots guys, and Moose, for the first time shooting fireworks you do take direction well.
I was tied up with a family get together and could not get near Empire Plaza to see what the "Albany-ians" were able to drum up. From what I hear though, it was a pretty cool showing.
