I'm a veteran of the online dating scene and have done it for years, without too much success, mind you. I haven't heard anything good about eHarmoney. The two best paying sites I've heard about were Lavalife.com and match.com. I have a profile on the latter, but have not paid yet. My friends who have used Match and Lavalife have had pretty good success at meeting people. I'm actually thinking of becoming a paying member on Match, but haven't totally decided yet.
The two sites I frequent the most are Craigslist and plentyoffish.com. Both are totally free. I met my last girlfriend off Craigslist, but she ended up being an unstable bitch and opportunist. I have been on quite a few dates with women I met off CL (including one on Friday), but none of them have really worked out and I found that they seemed more interested in getting a free meal more than anything else. I notice there are a lot of fake ads on CL, so you have to be careful.
With Plentyoffish, I have not had much luck at all. I met one girl off there and she more or less wanted a free meal as well.
By the way, with Match, I hear it's about $120 for six months and they guarantee that you'll find someone or you'll get your money back.
The best thing to do to meet women is to hide in a dark parking lot at night and wait until they are about to get into their car and strike up conversation. (kidding)
Whatever method you might use to meet women, it's important to always keep a positive attitude. Dates don't always work out, but it's important to not let it affect your own self confidence and your outlook on the dating scene. Everyone fails, many times, until they get it right. Just gotta keep on keepin on.

I've had good experience with okcupid.com. Can't beat the price: it's free.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9
So would it not be a good idea to use the pick up line...

Now that last one was too damn funny!
So far so good, but no pics yet, sorry guys. Went to the Mets rain out on Monday night and wound up going to a nice Peruvian rest in Astoria. I feel like I'm back in my 20's again!
As for the dating sights, when I wrote this post I was ready to give up on eharmony. Little did I know.......
But the sites like Craigslist, in my experience, those chicks are freeken crazy! They have some wild expectations for the type of guy they're looking for. I did match.com a few years ago and got no where. So, so far so good with my Farmingdale babe!
I had no idea this thread would get to two pages!
Soon to be three! Good luck on the upcoming dates!
"lol retart"
That's the thing with these sites...you can meet 100 girls and have no luck, and then #101 is it...that's pretty much how it went down for me on sawyouatsinai.com (basically a Jewish version of eHarmony)...I told her about my plane-spotting hobby on the first date and we're still together...
Of course, the dating sites are happy to take your money for two years while sending you worthless matches...at least 2/3 of mine didn't ever call me back...a lot of them "never got my message"...
Good luck with this Farmingdale girl...
Hmmm? Date # 3 & Bellucciman has not cleaned out the pipes yet, hmmmm? :mrgreen:Originally Posted by stuart schechter
