Congratulations! But honestly, did you pick Vaughn because it's down the block from Plainview Park?

Congrats. I got into Vaughn as well, but I may opt for SUNY Farmingdale.

    Re: College Visit in NYC

Thank you to everyone. I plan to study Airline Management. flyboy...definitely look into Vaughn!!! We may be able to hang out on campus and spot at LGA. I thought about SUNY Farmingdale as well. Being right on LGA will be more interesting than FRG.

Actually, I picked Vaughn because it is in NYC. I want to get out of FL, and since I am not interested in Embry Riddle, I thought Vaughn would be a great fit for me. Cheaper tuition too!

    Re: College Visit in NYC

Congrats JetblueAirwaysFan. I pass by Vaughn everyday on my way to work at LGA on the bus, couple of things you may or may not be aware of, all good. First, in addition to being about a 2 min or less walk from Planeview Park they also have their own tower, with a great view of the threshold of Runway 4. Due to reflections from the glass photography is a little challenging but to just watch when they are landing on 4 the view is awesome ! The last time I was up their around 4 or 5 years ago (they no longer allow non Vaughn visitors) the LGA Tower freq was playing on the PA speakers. I see many students up their on their lunch break when we pass by, you will probalby spend many "Happy" hours up their.

Just a few months ago they opened a brand new 2 story dorm complex right on campus, and certain rooms on the very north side "might" have a limited view of 4 arrivals.

If you do not plan on bringing a car several NYC bus lines stop right in front of the campus, using a bus/subway combo you could be in mid-town Manhattan in about 30-45 mins.

I'm sure as you get close to moving up here many on this board can provide more helpful info.

    Good Luck
