    Translatlantic Routes ?

As a non-pilot I have a question about routes used from LHR to JFK. What is the difference and the meaning of these routes: XTUSK, XTOPP and XTAFF ?

Those are intersections which is where 2 jet routes intersect. I don't understand why it says xtopp, xtusk, etc because they are actually TUSKY, TOPPS, and TAFFY. When going over the Atlantic they will navigate using these instersections, Lat and Long and tracks as their called. From this area to Europe they mostly use the North Atlantic tracks, which theres a few of. On a flight plan they would look like NATY, or NATX. which stands for North Atlantic track yankee or ..... x-ray. Hope this helps.
