Today is the EWR family day, just like LGA kids day.
I will visit this today.

And I, I took the path less traveled by
and that has made all the difference......yet...
I have a feeling a handle of people are going to be very interested in what I post in the near future.

Hi, I am very interested in finding out more about this event. Is it an annual thing? Does it open to public like LGA Kids Day? Where in EWR do they usually have this event? Are there static diplays?
So far its been on the same day as the LGA kids day, 3ed year in a row.
I always find out the very day they are having it, its very hard to find out before.
In general its for folks that work at EWR and family, but, that has never been an issue attending.
This year they had the CO 757-300 and FedEx A310 to walk around and in.
Local LE does a "plane pull" competition, with a CO 737, for fundrasing.
Its held by building #1, right in front of the deicing hanger (if its called a hanger)
Again, just like LGA kids day, free: parking, bus shuttle, hot dogs, water, soda, ice cream, pop corn. Plus kiddie stuff, games, face painting, open airport trucks/snow plows.
My best part: spotting in total peace almost airside! The sun for the most part is not great, but you can't beat it.
I will try to post pics asap.

Wow, an opportunity to spot at EWR peacefully! I will certainly plan to attend it next year. Looking forward to your photos.
I really want to try to attend this one day. How exactly do you reach the area where it's being held? Are there obvious signs?

Sure, a few signs are posted all around the inner road, and the parking is the lot where the monorail goes through by C.Originally Posted by NcSchu
Go down stairs and take the shuttle bus. Once inside there is a table with parking voucher for the day.
