Any idea what time the plane is going to be coming in?
Any idea what time the plane is going to be coming in?
Phil Gengler - NYCA's "other Phil"
The plane will actually be arriving at FRG on FRIDAY evening at 7:45PM, 9/7.
We really would greatly appreciate those who can help pull the plane. If there aren't 20 folks to form a team, then we can certainly use "fill-ins" for other teams. (Unfortunately, several teams and team members have recently withdrawn from the event but have donated $$. Therefore, if you would like to be a "filler", and respectively so :D , then your donation would be covered.)
btw, thank you to everyone for viewing and/or responding to this post. It is refreshing to see such camaraderie within this organization.
(FYI: To those who have emailed Janet at [email protected], please be aware that her email system is unavailable till end of day, 9/4. If you'd like, please email me directly at [email protected] ).
Thank you!
Jodi
We, as NYCA, will not be able to form a team. However, that sounds like a great opportunity to get in on a team for free!
I hope some of you take advantage of that.

Well, since the update, is anyone down to BE A PART OF IT??
I'm most likely IN the event now. C'mon, who else is in??
Tom, Phil?
Eric, Other Phil?
C'mon, we may NOT be able to get 20 guys but let's see if our individual presence can be put to a good cause.
Let's get some NYCA members out there even if we can't get a full 20 people!!
And I, I took the path less traveled by
and that has made all the difference......yet...
I have a feeling a handle of people are going to be very interested in what I post in the near future.

It's hard to take chances but sometimes it's better if you do

I just re-read the post. Andy, are you going this year? If so, you ARE pulling :)
Sounds like the Other Phil is in too.
Also, I'll be seeing who at my gym might be interested. You never know.

I'm leaving for Canada on Sunday I won't be down there.
Unfortunately, yes, you must be 18 years old. Sorry! (Rules set by FedEx, not March of Dimes.)Originally Posted by nikon50bigma

Here are just a few shots of the aircraft
More to follow, Off to a wedding! ;)
The three most common expressions in aviation are, "Why is it doing that?", "Where are we?" and "Oh Crap".
Had a great time Sunday morning. Got to meet our new friend Jodi from MofD, Mario joined one of the teams - and they won an award! Here are a few shots from the event...
One of the FedEx teams pulling the jet.
Suffolk's Finest give the jet a tug.
Mario and son with the Red Bull Girls. He's starting the little guy out right :D
All the hours in the gym really pay off for Mario.
The Airpower Museum team tried for a little bit of an advantage :D
Some of the team awards.
Mario and Sebastian accepting the trophy for "Longest Pull" - the awards are based on fastest time to pull the jet 12 feet (the winning team did it in 6.009 seconds) Mario's team had the longest time among those who completed the full 12 foot pull, clocking in at 16.024.
