What Aviation Frequencies to listen to?

Just got the cable and software to update my Pro-95 Scanner. Being former EMS it has all the NYPD, FDNY, EMS and other buffy stuff. I was thinking what aviation related frequencies I should have. I have enough room to put everything (and probably will) but as we know some frequencies are just dead.

What frequencies do you spotters isolate on? Ok, where is the good stuff?

it really helps with a scanner for planespotting and at photo shots

you could also use ATIS phone numbers which give you info of what runways are being used and weather conditions

    JFK 718-995-8188
    LGA 718-478-6118

it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.

Im sure you'll mainly want to listen to JFK and LGA

125.7 - ROBER (Approach from the North for JFK)
127.4 - CAMRN (Approach from the South for JFK)
    132.4 - JFK Final
    135.9 - JFK Departure

127.3 - EMPYR (Approach from the South and West for LGA)
120.8 - HAARP (Approach from the North for LGA)
128.8 - LGA Final (I think this is the LGA Final freq. It was changed a few years ago I believe. It's either that or 134.9)
    120.4 - LGA Departure

once approach hands you off to LGA TWR that it, same freq till you're handed off to ground after rolling out.

I believe LGA final is still 134.90 unless they've changed it recently.

I skipped EWR since it's kinda IMO over in the boonies. I figured since his location LGA and JFK would be the best.

If you want to listen to something different , SFO radio (yes I know it sounds strange but it is true ) can be heard on 129.35 / 129.45 . You'll hear various phone patches , etc . It's not very busy all the time but when theres summer thunderstorms etc , it can get interesting .
