Bombs, country music, and pickup trucks!

Well, we had a bomb threat today. It is actually not that unusual of an occurrence out here in Hickville. So, anyway, fire alarm goes off, everyone evacuates. We are sitting outside (in some pretty good weather, sunny and 55) for 2.5 hours. SWAT came, several police departments, and some other random stuff. Wish I would have had my camera, could have gotten some cool shots.

A little explanation on the title: Bomb threat, and while we were sitting and standing outside, several people got into their pickup trucks and rolled down the windows and started cranking the country radio station. Yeah, a little taste of culture out here in Hicksville, bombs, country music and pickup trucks! :D

Pinckney High School students were evacuated for more than two hours this afternoon when a student found a bomb threat written on the wall of a girls' bathroom, authorities said.

Livingston Sheriff's Deputy Nicholas Williamson, the school liaison officer, said Principal James Darga notified him of the threat at 11:45 a.m.

Williamson said students were evacuated to their outside fire drill locations until 2 p.m., while explosive detection dogs from the Livingston, Lenawee and Genesee county sheriff's departments and Ann Arbor Police Department searched the school.

    No explosives were found.

Williamson said a student found the threat, written on a cinder block wall in pen and highlighter, and it said "bomb," and today's date. Students were returned to classes at 2 p.m. and dismissed as usual at 2:16 p.m.

Anyone with information on the bomb threat is asked to call the sheriff's department at 517-546-2440.
