Coast Guard HH-65 Dolphin and Galaxy Jet came in today at different times
Not a report but a question. Did anyone see the Silverjet yesterday? Their website implies the inaugural flight did operate, but there isn't much info on the web to confirm this and no recent pics of G-SJET ....
Search Google News, there are plenty of articles saying the first flight commenced as scheduled, but as EWR is not really a spotters haven I'm not surprised that no one got pictures of it.

Bit hard too since some of us work off the airport site, M-F, and a heavy overcast day makes driving around that much unappealing.Originally Posted by NcSchu
There will be no handshake from the airline president and champing opening for the first photos, so no rush at all.

I was told that there was nothing special going on for the initial flight, but I posted some pics in the Silverjet thread

Looks like SAS came in with their A340-313X today. Not 100% sure it was SAS though. I'll update as soon as the info is available.
Don't know if the following belongs here but, a couple minutes after spotting the A340 bound for EWR, I saw a CH-47 Chinook. Much lower, and much closer. Looked dark green, could be military.
Oh, and also, both were spotted in Paramus, NJ.
EDIT: Yep. Confirmed Flight 909 from Copenhagen. Still don't know about the CH-47 though.
