just found this while reading through the AF web site

    Boeing B747
A major step in the democratization of air transport

The introduction of the Boeing B747 in the eighties, the first wide-bodied aircraft able to fly long distances, gave Air France an opportunity to offer passengers flights at very attractive fares.

Today, Boeing B747s operate in Africa, Asia, America and on the Caribbean and Indian Ocean network.

the Eighties???? they seem to be 20 years or so off....

Could it be bad wording? Did Air France get 74's in the 80's?

That's funny. I'm sitting second to last row on the right side of the plane, just look for the goofy guy with his face pressed up against the window.

The 747 in the '80s comment is what you get when you outsource the writing of your website, inflight magazine, etc to some outside PR firm or ad agency. Don't believe everything you read!

    JFK Lovestories.....an MJC production

    Ari707 and T-Bird76

"....a match made on the tarmac at JFK...."

They saw each other at a distance, faces pressed up against the windows, their eyes locked for a brief moment as their chariots raced past each other. Twas a love we'll never know!

    Mellyrose and T-Bird76

    "...The Sequel..."

They saw each other at a distance, faces pressed up against the windows, their eyes locked for a brief moment as their chariots raced past each other. She gazed into him and thought, "What a nerd" and he pondered, wondering what lay in her mind....and flipped her the bird.

    Have safe flights, guys!
And I, I took the path less traveled by
and that has made all the difference......yet...
I have a feeling a handle of people are going to be very interested in what I post in the near future.
