2nd ever Monday night Long Island meeting

well, last night it was Hack, Moose, Derf, Klos, Nik "1994 Italia" Vollaro, Tbird and myself at Smoking Al's BBQ joint.

There was lots of good spotting too, lots of great Pan Am equipment.
Nik did most of the spotting, though he was a bit perturbed and confused mammary glands for engines.

Let's hope to see some spotting photos by Derf. Also, you have to see the rib rack Tbird devoured! Most impressive.

    Derf, where are the pics?
And I, I took the path less traveled by
and that has made all the difference......yet...
I have a feeling a handle of people are going to be very interested in what I post in the near future.

It was a great evening. Fred of course can never leave the camera home. Tommy ate some ribs that looked so big they were from an elephant. The drinks were flowing and Mario got constant reminders of Italy'a penalty kick in injury time to send Australia packing! Can't wait to do it again.

Now we just have to wait for Fred to post the pictures, yes Fred was taking pictures, I'm as shocked as you are. If Nick held up that recorder one more time we were going to hand him his official card. LOL Oh for the record I didn't finish all those ribs, to big. I'm still trying to figure out what extinct animal they came from, god they were good.

I had a great time and would not have been able to make it if it were not
for Nick!!! Thank you very much guys for such a great time and thank
you Nick for making this possible.

That was some Kick Ass BBQ!!!

Nick gave us some reading material that got put away faster then it took
him to hand it to me...I read it twice today and found it to be better than
Nick implied....Thank you yet again Nick....Great Stuff!!!

We started out with some drinks....I will fill in the blanks

    There was some bragging

There were sweet smells all around

    There was more bragging!!!!

There were the famous Dino Ribs

and there was Yet more bragging!!!!!!!

(FYI) I used my Kit lens with a .42 wide angle screw on that makes the
quality of the images just slightly better then a $5.00 Walmart disposable
film camera....but the feel is just so fun, the poor quality is worth it until
I can afford a real fisheye!

What a nice night out with some great people.... I consider all of you the
best people that I have met, you are all wonderful caring people in every
way and can not even begin to tell you how great it is to spend just one
of these wonderful evenings out with you guys....and this is #3!!!!
Thank you all very much Fred

Fred you are nuts! I am confiscating your camera next time. No cameras at dinner. Plese note my ROMA jersey worn in honor of Totti scoring the crushing goal for AUS and in honor of Mario. It was a great time.

Guys, I had a blast!...and even though it was fun at first, by the end of the night I am sure Tommy wanted to BBQ that tape recorder too.

Thanks again Nick for arranging it!

That ref did a great job! He made the right the right call even though he knew he would be villified for it.

Looking forward to tomorrow! GOOALLLLLL ITALIA!!
