Actually headed for New York Harbor for the Fleetweek Parade of Ships. we also observed a squadron of Amphibious Helicopter's heading south down the Hudson from our tower at LGA. CBS 880 Radio news earlier reported several WW2 era planes did a flyover as did a Korean War era fighter jet. And as I was typing this a US Navy C-9A (DC-9-30) departed Runway 4 at LGA !

Did the F-18s depart LGA?

should be over my place soon since i am on the hudson river
I hear more fighters
The F-18s are from VFA-87 "War Party" and there should be three F-14s from VF-31.

There were a LOT of military jets out there today. About 6 different types.
Also, for the props: Osprey, Orion, C-130, Hawkeye, etc.
Korean era jet early in the day, but didn't see the reported WWll Warbirds.
Modern acrobat bi-planes with a modern cessna or piper leading the way I thought.

Senga, I am surprised you don't have one of your clones on sight at the Hudson River ? Slipping are we ?

damn... wish i were sticking around for the fun this weeknd but sadly i'll be relaxing in california wine country. :)
it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.
