    Dotspotting from home - 4/2/06

    i dont usually get to airports to shoot except for when I travel, but the air traffic at home in the evenings can be somewhat entertaining.

    some transatlantic departures from this past sunday...

    Lufthansa A340-300 outbound from PHL to Frankfurt as Lufthansa 427


    Continental 757-200 with winglets outbound from EWR to Berlin as Continental 96


    Lufthansa A330-300 outbound from JFK to Frankfurt as Lufthansa 407




    United 777-200 (NC) outbound from IAD to London Heathrow as United 918


    Delta 767-300 outbound from JFK to Amsterdam as Delta 80


    US Airways 767-200 (NC) outbound from PHL to Amsterdam as US Airways 42


    TAP A310 outbound from EWR to Lisbon, Portugal as TAP 104


    KLM 767-300 outbound from ATL to Amsterdam as KLM 622


    Uzbekistan 767-300 VP-BUZ outbound from JFK to Riga, Latvia as Uzbekistan 102

    dude, that would make for a great game of beer pong. IGuess the plane, and if you bomb, take another shot!

    seriously, those are cool pics and much like what I get out here too. But I can never get that moon to line up with those planes! ;)

    hey thats pretty cool. which NY CTR freq are you listening to?
    it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.

    thanks for the comments...

    regarding the NY center frequency...i just take photos, then replay the time of the photos on the JFK/HPN/LGA Passur trackers and those give me all of the info. i dont own a scanner.

    I have done some of this myself from time to time. For me I use the scanner, ACARS and also the flight trackers.
