    Boeing "Out in Front Again"

Well the news coming out of Boeing this year is certainly making their holiday season a bit more merry. It was only two years ago Boeing who hadn't announced a new plane in 13 years was for the first time ever out sold by European rival Airbus, but times have changed.

-On Nov 10 the 777 made a record breaking long distance flight of 13,422 miles.

-Boeing took 108 orders at the Dubai Airshow reaching a year total of 801, over 100 planes more then Airbus.

-Will launch the 787 into commercial service a full two years before the A350, Airbus's chief salesman, John Leahy even said "They've got a good mousetrap there"

-Boeing scored the largest ever 777 from Emirates.

-Boeing scored another large Asian order of 70 737s to China.

-Announced a totally new 747 the 747-8 featuring a new wing design, 787 engineering and components, and a stretched cabin that fills the gap between the A380 and today's 747.

It certainly was good year for Boeing with a future poised to continued success. Once again Boeing is "Out in Front Again".

I am happy for this news. I am glad it looks like Boeing is proving to be tops in the commercial airliner building department, as well as the other things they do. I can't wait to see the 787!

It's great to see Boeing doing well, but I'm even happier to see that the airline indsutry as a whole is doing well.

    Congrats to Boeing.
