    JFK 12/02/10 IMAGE HEAVY

Well I got a new toy to play with. A Canon Rebel XS with 75-300MM lense. Tested full zoom on 3 backlit 31L arrivals. You will know which ones. Have more that I may post later. Comments would be nice.

Nick, when were you there? I was around a few times today as work took me back to L.I. ... Didn't see anyone else spotting. These are TERRIFIC!! ;-) All I would suggest is to CROP TIGHT around the planes.

CONGRATS on a better camera and getting OUT with the mortals lol.

BTW, the EVA cargo was a nice surprise. Didn;t think about sticking around for it as I thought it would be a 747 :-( Too bad!!

    Cheers!

Congrats on your new toy Nick! Looking forward to your future postings. By the way, nice lens for spotting as well.

Not sure when it came in, but I saw the Cathay silver bullet sitting in the cargo area this afternoon.

Thanks. I was sitting in my car from 11 to 3:30 near panara. Well not near it. I was in the middle of the parking lot. Im thinking of LGA before work tomorrow. Depends on what is going on. If not i'll prob do JFK.

Edit: the AOA will always be my specialty. I dont plan on cutting that out.

Congrats on the purchase Nick. Like Manny said, crop them tighter in whatever program you are using for editing. Interesting to see so many AA 738's...winter schedule?

Nice Shots...I agree about the tighter crop..I think that Capfay Pathetic and American should increase the size of the font on their planes..That will make them so much better.

A small fact. AA planes dont have a drop of paint of the fuelsalage.

BTW Nick, it looks like your position in the parking lot was a lot closer to the stores, indeed within the parked cars themselves, than where we normally hang out which is right up against the fence along the side of Panera between the entrance sign and Panera. Not that your view is any worse, but with all the shoppers traffic I am wondering how you didn;t go mad! There are times the lot is full and then people park near us by the fence and they feel totally uncomfortable when they see us shooting the planes :-)

There was traffic but nobody paid any mind to me. Though after being there for so long im holding off going to that spot for a little bit. Hopeing for bayswater next. I can get that knocked off my list And actually no the stripes and logo on the fuelsalage are all stickers. Ive flown AA several times and ive examined it. I doubt paint needs to be glued as a precaution.
