i used the same image in a paper i did for one of my classes about 2 years ago. was shocked to see it all. we even got a video of a day's arrivals and departures starting at 0001 and ending at 2359. was cray to see how it all flows together.
it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.
Reminds me of this video on Youtube...it gets a little artsy towards the end, but its still really cool.
