Air Jamaica Plane Gets Stuck in Snow, Pax Stranded 8 Hours

An Air Jamaica flight set to depart Baltimore this morning skidded past the deicing area and got stuck in a snow drift. When it was finally freed and moved back to the gate, it skidded itself into an odd angle, making it impossible for the jetway to reach the plane. Passengers, who boarded at 7am, did not get off the plane until around 3:30pm.

Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9

Damn that sucks. Never forget back in the 90s my family and I boarded a plane at LGA heading to Ft. Lauderdale. It had just started snowing, early morning. Sitting awhile in line to depart they made the call to go back and de-ice. Some time later back in line and soon off Runway 4 into the clouds and to sunny and warm Fla. Learned down there they closed the airport 30 minutes after our departure.
    Sweet!! :D
