I was at the beach today. The day started out overcast, but the sun came out before the Blue Angels put on their performance.

Unless you know its coming, you don't hear it until its past you. I saw it four times and the crowds reaction is priceless. Most of the crowd is following Blue Angel 1,2,3,4 as they pass over head to the right and the "sneak pass" comes from the left(5) and the back(6).Originally Posted by Phil D.

well that is the point of the sneak pass. crowd reactions to that are the best! i remember once in salinas i was looking around for the solo airplane during the performance expecting it to come across show center. instead, the pilot decided to scare the pants out of everyone at the show and came up from directly the grand stands. everyone jumped....Originally Posted by eric8669

The lens I used is the Canon 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 L IS USM.
Shot Info: 1/2000 at f/7.1, ISO 400, Focal length 360mm.
