Weather permitting---when is the best day for spotting after the General Assembly is over? I didn't go out today because of the cloud cover.

Great Shots Luke! Regarding the other matter, I used to assume that only the very best pilots in any given country would be entrusted to fly around the respective Head-of-State. But 10+ years of watching this, and I am now more inclined to believe nepotism or similar is at play in some cases.... :)
"Keep 'em Flying"
Nice shots Luke, I guess Ill post my shot of the Day I ended up photography the BRU from 4 different angles. Even got some video ill post if if its worth it. The last time I had a chance to get a shot a Belarus T154 was in 2003 when it flew form Europe to Boston and then it Cuba (Airline colors). It never made the return trip.
The BRU could possibly be my shot of the year. I didn't think I'd have another chance to shoot a T154 again. The Air China was also a nice catch.

WOW!!!!......... Belarus could have sent their 767 and they arrive on a TU-154. Splendid looking machine but then again an all-white Tu-154 would still be more attractive than any modern Boeing or Airbus. If I were up there id' been out in rain and hurricane winds just to see it. The new Turkish VIP A330 looks darned good too for a VIP transport livery. I agree that Niger BBJ's livery is such a disaster I would not miss anything if i never photographed that airplane. Their 732 in the classic livery on the other hand is beautiful. That newer Zimbabwe scheme is another visual disaster. Ok rant over don't want to spoil the happiness.
Not everyone likes Inwood Park because you are further away from the planes, but I like it better than Bayswater as I have 500mm on a crop sensor to play with. It's also much easier to stay ahead of runway changes as opposed to the extra distance to Bayswater and the shots are more side-on
A BIG THANK YOU to Manny ... for the chow!
Nice seeing some of you that I haven't seen in ages. Here are a couple.
On the move at ISO 5000 and some heavy duty processing
Congo 707 just landed on 31R.
It was nice seeing all of you and meeting new folks that came from abroad. This weekend was simply a blast for me and I am still trying to digest everything I caught today that I didn't even know they existed. I am sure you guys will be catching more in the coming days so I look forward to your postings.
Wow... a lot of very rare planes you maybe never see in your life...
